In today’s Vendor Interview Series instalment, we’re going to get to know a little bit about Lisa Orantes, Independent Distributor for Organo.
Lisa Orantes ~ Independent Distributor for Organo
This is what Lisa had to tell us when we asked her about her and her business:
I am an Independent Distributor for Organo, a company established in BC. They sell a line of beverages and body management products that are infused with premium quality certified organic reishi ganoderma.
Reishi is a medicinal mushroom that has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries but light is now being shed around the world on this superfood that has way too many health benefits to even comprehend. The vitamins, minerals, antioxydants, phytonutrients of so many variety of foods, all packed in one. That is reishi ganoderma and what we can offer you.
How do you stay organized?
My agenda, calendar and sticky notes!!!
Do you work alone or do you have team members/employees? Expand on your answer by telling us when you grew, or when/if you have plans on growing your team.
As an Independent Distributor and part of a MLM company I have many business partners in the Windsor/Essex Country area. Our plan is to share the health benefits of reishi and showing how you can use food to boost your immune system and allow your body to do what it was naturally supposed to do, heal itself.
What vision do you have for the future of your business?
I see my business expanding through like minded people and incorporated in health restaurants, wellness stores, hollistic practitioners and health expos.
What would someone be surprised to find out about you?
I am an intuitive and empath.
Through my 10 year health journey I found my life purpose. Helping people heal by getting to the root of physical and emotional issues.
What is the best book you have read for business or personal growth? Or, what are you reading right now?
Anything by Dr. David R Hawkins will raise your level of consciousness and he is my go to.
Success is For You was a great book he wrote for business and Letting Go was another good one for personal growth and spirituality.
I am currently reading Power vs. Force which again is another of many Hawkins treasures.
What is your favourite inspiring or motivational quote?
The devil whispers
“You can’t withstand the storm”
The warrior replied
“I am the storm”
~ Mateusz M.
What do know now that you wish you had known when you started your business?
How easy it is to talk to people when you break down the wall we put up and hide behind. People just want to communicate and connect which is easy when you put down the defenses.
What advice would you give to another woman just starting her own business?
Trust your intuition and don’t wait for everything to be perfect because it never will be.
Just do it.
Perfectly imperfect is what I like to call it.
Thank you so much to Lisa for taking the time to answer our questions.
If you are in the area, be sure to stop by the Women’s Expo to say ‘Hi!’ to Lisa.

About the Vendor Interview Series:
When we started to plan our inaugural Women’s Expo, we wanted it to be more than just another vendor’s market and workshop event.
We wanted to create a sense of community. To create connections and get just as excited about each other’s businesses as we are about our own.
We planned a pre-event meetup so that the vendors could get together and get to know each other before the ‘big event’, and we tasked them with some ‘homework’ that they have probably never had to do before when participating in a vendor market style event, (this Interview Series being one of their tasks).
It was our vision that with the information that they provide us with, we do as much as we can to showcase, and highlight these hardworking women, not only the weekend of the Women’s Expo, but as often as we possible could in the weeks leading up to it.
Balancing life and work is hard and we are so honoured that they are choosing to spend some of their time with us <3
